LYDNEY TOWN AFC YOUTH
We are proud to be a FA Accredited Club, providing the complete Player Pathway to over 350 children. This is delivered through 3 distinct pathways:
PLAYER PATHWAY
The club provides FA qualified coaches from under 5’s through to the transition into the Senior game. Sessions for the Lions (u5s – u6s) is FREE OF CHARGE, helping us feed into and create the next generation of our league teams at Lydney Town AFC Youth.
Lydney Town AFC Youth create more chances for more children to play football in approved FA leagues and competitions, with a minimum of 1 team in every age group recognised by theFA (u7-u18s).
Through the clubs affiliation with Lydney Town AFC, the transition phase will see the club preparing players for the prospect of adult football, retaining as many as possible, that can transfer directly to the senior squads (Mens & Ladies). This provides great opportunities to play at a high standard.

CLUB STRUCTURE
Lydney Town AFC Youth provide football to children of all ages and abilities. Aligned to the Player Pathway, we deliver age appropriate training in a safe environment, supporting long term development.
This journey will see your child build and progress their learning and development as they head towards the adult version of the game. Our aim is to get local children to reach their maximum potential, enabling them to play at the highest level they can.
As a 3 Star Accredited Club, we create opportunities for everyone to experience and enjoy the game we all love.

Lydney Lions provide a FREE fun and safe environment for children to begin their love of football while developing key movement and social skills along the way.
